Challenge
Merseytravel were using SharePoint 2010 to deliver their intranet and needed help with an upgrade, redesign and migration to SharePoint 2013 on-premise. This upgrade gave Merseytravel the ability to rethink the way they stored their information and how they communicated news, events and policies within the organisation.
Solution
SharePoint experts Polymorph developed the new look and feel for Merseytravel's intranet that gave a fresh view of their information and made it much easier to search and browse through. A structured plan was provided to help clean their data before migration, making the focus on what information needed to be migrated and that the right data was moved.
Polymorph also developed a process for automating the publishing and approval of Global Policies within Merseytravel. This notifies the appropriate departmental champions when polices are about to expire and forces them to resubmit the policies when they do.
Result
Polymorph has provided a much needed upgrade to Merseytravel's intranet. The new Global Policies system allows users to find the correct and current policy when required and the intranet is much clearer and easier to use.
